Reach for the sky
Reflecting on the goals I didn't reach + an invite to set your 2025 goals with me
I’m back in the Bay Area for the holidays—San Francisco this week, Milpitas next week, then Miami for NYE! 🎇
While I don’t have an “official” job anymore, I still feel a sense of urgency to try and wrap up 2024 strong before we all slam our laptops shut (hopefully) between Christmas and New Years.
As I look to 2025, I also am starting to reflect on 2024. I opened up my goals from last year, and while I hit a few of them, I didn’t hit a lot of them.
I used to think that not achieving meant I was failing or falling behind.
What I’ve learned is that it’s not about hitting every single goal on your list. It’s about trying, adjusting, and learning.
For example…
I didn’t add an extra bedroom to my Airbnb, but I did add an extra bed with two mattresses.
I didn’t start a business that covered my basic living costs, but I did save up 6 months of living expenses, so I could start a business without fear of running out of cash.
I didn’t go on two dates a month, but I did form some meaningful relationships and learned a lot about myself in the process.
So, that brings me to 2025.
If you’re in NYC, I am personally inviting you to my apartment for an evening of visualization, journaling, goal-setting, and snacks! I have 5 more spots left, and you can RSVP below.
If you’re not in NYC but would like to participate, please reply back to this email! I will see if there is enough interest for a virtual gathering.
Rather than accomplish the “thing” you set out to achieve, how do you want to feel about the journey? For me, it’s proud that I even started!
Talk soon,
Maggie

Added this section to include a few of the things I did during the week and some upcoming events that you might want to attend, too!
Feeling [artsy] 📸
A friend of a friend launched his startup, FOTOFOTO, a zero-waste disposable camera company. We went by to see the debut of its pop-up art show where various artists, designers, and innovators are showcasing the art they’ve made via “waste” materials. It’s going on until December 21 in Williamsburg! If you can’t go, consider buying a camera. They make great gifts!
Feeling [festive] 🎅
While I didn’t get to go to the holiday markets this year before leaving for California, I DID get to check out multiple holiday parties and see the lights in Dyker Heights!
