Welcome to 2025!
Reflecting on 2024 and what's in store this year
Happy New Year! I’ve spent the last few weeks reflecting and planning for what’s to come this year. I’m sharing a few wins, learnings, and plans for this upcoming year.
🏆️ Highlights & Wins
Traveled to 6 countries 🌎️ : Brazil, Chile, Netherlands, France, Australia, and Guyana. Some of these were for work and some for fun!
Left my job 💼: After many years of knowing this wasn’t the right fit for me, I finally quit my job to pursue more aligned opportunities.
Joined 3 communities 🤝 : HerWorkplace, Old Girls Club, Women in Innovation have helped me connect with many women also looking to leave their job or start something of their own.
Created my personal website: Putting yourself out there can be hard, but I finally made a website, so those with similar challenges can connect with me. This is constantly evolving 🙂
🤓 Challenges & Learnings
Decided not to host my Mexico retreat 🌴: I wanted to host a retreat in Mexico with women who wanted to start something of their own. For awhile after the decision not go through with it, I felt like a failure, but I now look back and see that it takes guts, and I learned a lot! I’d still love to do this one day, but for now, I’m focusing on smaller events while I establish my own community (that includes you!).
Networking works (but it does take time) 🤝: Almost 2 years ago, I connected with the friend who started Recess, who plans company retreats that feel like recess. Only now, I’m starting to help with retreat coordination for an upcoming retreat, showing that good things can take time.
It’s better to start because you can figure it out 🚀: I’ve learned that for myself, it takes a long time to come to a decision because I wait for a perfect moment and feeling. The decision to move to New York, to leave my job, to host a retreat, to buy a home. Nothing is ever 100% perfect, and sometimes, it’s better to start because you can figure things out along the way.
🌟 What’s next in 2025
2025 is going to be a year of investment. Investment in myself, my business, and my relationships. I need to sit down with these goals and refine them a lot more, but here it is at a high-level.
Investing in myself 👩🏻
Practice more self-compassion, especially when things don’t go the way I had planned
Plan a monthly self-care day—maybe a massage but maybe just a day where I do whatever I want!
Investing in my business 👩🏻💻
Generate $100K+ revenue to cover my basic expenses living in NYC
Invest in a business coach who will help me refine my ideal offer
Level up my education by attending free workshops, listening to podcasts, and watching YouTube videos in my downtime
Build my personal brand by sharing my story on my social platforms, this newsletter, and other people’s platforms
Investing in my relationships 🤸🏻♀️
Connect with like-minded solopreneurs who have started their own business
Plan a trip to Joshua Tree to take pictures of the stars with my family (this was on my list last year, but I’m determined to do it this year!)
Date super intentionally and connect meaningfully with someone who is kind, supportive, funny, and shares a similar vision and values in life
A new year brings hope, excitement, and change. Now is the perfect time to make goals for yourself and stick to them!

Feeling [grateful] 💌
My friends, Shir and Sakib, had a wedding this past week in Miami! It was a story of two people choosing each other despite clashing cultures (her family is from Israel, his family is from Pakistan).

Missing my family dog, Cairo, already! He unwrapped his own present and immediately tore it up a few minutes later. I’d say Christmas was a success!
