I posed this question last week on LinkedIn, spent about 30 minutes writing some thoughts on it, and to my surprise, it popped off.

In the post, I talk about if you literally cannot build something alongside your 9-5, you probably fall into two camps:

  • camp A: you have a crazy demanding job. you literally do not have time to do anything else because your job takes all of your time.

  • camp B: you have a decent enough job but zero energy when you get home. you don't love your job, but you also don't hate it. your blocker is that you don't have the mental capacity to think about anything else but sit on the couch, turn on the TV, and CHILL when you get home.

Over the years, I’ve fallen into both of these camps and what I’ve realized is that at the end of the day, you may not have time or energy but the people who build alongside their 9-5 somehow find a way to do it because it becomes a priority to them.
