I’m hosting my first free workshop next week: Career pivots for multi-passionate people, which leads into my first cohort program—Just Start. It’s all about taking action by launching a career experiment alongside your job.

While I’ve hosted a few virtual roundtables with other entrepreneurs and IRL events, this is the first workshop I’m doing all by myself.

And while I anticipated 30 registrations, I’ve already surpassed 50!

I’m super proud, but I’d be lying if I said self-doubt didn’t sneak in while I was creating this. I’ve grappled with questions, like:

Is it the right time?
Do I have enough experience?
What if no one comes?

But what I know is true for me and anytime you’re trying something new:

It’s never the right time.
Someone will always have more experience than you.
And, if no one comes, you can always try again later.

I know if I just start, I’ll figure it out along the way.

I didn’t have an idea of what to offer at the start of this. It came through building audience, my confidence, and listening to both myself and the people who reached out to connect with me.

How I’m building my audience

One of my goals this year was to build my personal brand. I know many people don’t feel comfortable posting online, and to be clear, I didn’t either. It’s vulnerable to expose your new path to old coworkers.

But what I’ve learned is that you have to combat the voices in your head telling you you’re being judged. Why do their opinions matter if you’re ultimately creating the life you want to live in?

This is what reminded me to keep going. I started small, posting on LinkedIn 1x per week, then 2x per week, and now I’m posting ~5x per week. It does get easier with practice.

I don’t have a huge audience (3K on LinkedIn, 340 with this newsletter 💌), but it’s the DMs, virtual coffee chats, random texts, and replies back to this newsletter that remind me I have people on the sidelines showing me support. Thank you 🫶

How I’m building my confidence

Last year, I had this big, bold vision to launch a retreat in Mexico of my own. But with no real audience, I couldn’t fill the spots.

I felt defeated. I put myself out there, and I “failed”. But looking back, that “failure” was a gift. It showed me that I could survive disappointment and still keep going. And it prepared me for this moment now.

This time feels different. I’m not hiding—I’m showing up as myself, surrounded by people who also want to carve a different path.

I know this journey will be an adventurous, trial-and-error experiment that we can shape together.

How I’m building my offer

When I started, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to offer. I just knew two things:

  1. I love bringing people together.

  2. When I was pivoting careers, I craved community and accountability—but I didn’t have it.

This cohort program is my first attempt at bringing folks together who are curious about a career pivot, without walking away from the stability they’ve worked so hard to build.

I know I can uniquely share what I’ve learned building my portfolio career layer by layer—first while I was employed and then ultimately when I quit.

I’m approaching this as my own experiment, seeing who shows up, what feedback I get, and where it goes from here.

I’m keeping it small (20 spots), keeping it short (6 weeks), and adding fun touches like an IRL event in NYC and a guest speaker. I’ll learn as I go—just like everyone in the program.

🧠 Final thoughts

If there’s one thing I’ve learned through this whole process, it’s that clarity comes from action, not overthinking.

If you’ve been sitting on an idea (big or small), consider this your nudge: don’t wait for the perfect moment. Just start. Whether on your own or with a group, you’ll figure out the rest as you go.

💬 Your turn

What’s one idea you’ve been sitting on that you could “just start” this week—even in a tiny way? Hit reply and tell me. I’d love to cheer you on.

Weekly Feels

Still in London and feeling grateful for the month I’ve had here. Going into it with an open mind and heart has allowed me to experience things I never would have expected.

Just this week I…

  • Met IRL with a Recess collective member who is about to move to NZ 🇳🇿

  • Finally went back to Dishoom (so good!) 🍽
